VeritasPay ExpressPOS: Expanding Self-service Payments

Posted: October 2022

As a payment provider, VeritasPay offers a variety of payment processing technologies for businesses of all sizes. It’s our contribution to the industry and way to make our own mark in its continuous modernization.

One of our services is the ExpressPOS, where we integrate an unattended payment terminal into a self-service machine, such as vendos, ticketing kiosks, and the like. The terminal is designed to be customer-centric as customers are able to pay via cards or e-wallets by themselves, hence the term “unattended.”

Guided by our goal to be a top name in the payment industry, we figured it is only right to have the widest service possible, and that meant having something in ExpressPOS’s mold.

With the pandemic altering the world’s approach to payments, everyone’s awareness for digital methods spiked, as evident with such machines/kiosks being more present in basically every corner – commercial buildings, schools, train stations, mini groceries, parking areas, food chains, among others.

True enough, ExpressPOS has become one of our most in-demand solutions. We have now deployed the solution in different areas around the country.

Included in the continuously expanding list are government agencies, BPOs, and hospitals, where we deployed coffee vending machines through our partnership with Philippine Vending Corporation, the largest vending operator in the country.

Then, there’s one in Greenbelt 1, a mall at the heart of Makati City, where we aided premiere vape shop Planet Vape in setting up one of the first of its kind in the Philippines.

Thrilled with all the development, we got a hold of our President, Christopher James Payne, to get his word on ExpressPOS. He’s quite pleased with the growing number of merchants and expressed his confidence in the payment solution and how it’s changing the landscape of self-service payments in the country.

“Having a self-service machine is like having a new branch for your business minus all the other standard costs, so it’s an interesting path for businesses. Luckily for us, we have the right ingredient to facilitate such a need. ExpressPOS is built for unattended payments and to help businesses – it’s basically there to assure payment acceptance in vendos and kiosks can run like clockwork.”

Considering the beaming qualities, which are either good for businesses or consumers, unattended payments ought to get more attention. It simply brings a different payment experience and an easier selling and payment method.

We expect ExpressPOS to have an even larger market moving forward, and we believe we have the capability to bring it where it needs to be. It’s high time for the country to have wider accessibility for better payment technology.
